CELTA Training Course (Online full time)

Its location was very good. The family was very welcoming. All of them are very kind. It was a great pleasure
to chat with them.

The teachers are very well prepared, use varied methods and respond to the needs of the participants. The textbook contains current topics and suitable exercises of various kinds. The additional teaching material provided was suitable to cover the topic for the unit. The use of Kahoot was good for repetition. I appreciated the playful way of memorizing the vocabulary. The exchange with partners or in groups is a good way of confronting the own opinions with those of participants from other cultures. This broadened my horizons. The participants in the two courses I attended - one in the morning and one in the afternoon - were at the same language level. This made it much easier to communicate with each other. The mix of young and older participants works well if everyone is willing to get involved in the exercises. Unfortunately, this was not always the case. It was also not very good that most of the participants in the morning course were from my home country, which is why the young people often used their mother tongue. I really appreciated the opportunity to get two individual lessons spontaneously. This made the reasons for some of the difficulties clearer to me and I received suggestions on how to resolve them. The short test every Friday is a good way to recognize the own progress. I was able to improve from the first to the second week.
The location of the school in the center of the city is very convenient. There is a bus stop in the immediate vicinity, plenty of opportunities to eat during the lunch break, a number of sights and shopping opportunities.
The school building is a gem, I love historic buildings, even if some rooms are a bit cramped as a result.
The social program is varied and offers something for every taste. I was only able to take part in some activities because I couldn't take part in some of them due to the afternoon course. Participation makes it possible to get to know other participants at the school courses better.
The accommodation in a student residence with a single room and private bathroom as well as the option of using a shared kitchen in the apartment met my requirements. The advantage of this type of accommodation was that I was able to get to know other students. I was pleased with the service of the weekly change of bed linen and towels and taking away the garbage in the kitchen. I was also grateful that everyone in the apartment made an effort to keep the kitchen clean. Also, the ladies at the rezeption were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is well connected with city buses to the center.

I was able to meet new people and make new friends. I interacted with many students from Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Brazil. the age range varied although the majority were teenagers and young adults. As such it was a refreshing experience to view the world from their point of view.

Learning was structured on the practical aspect of speaking, listening and interacting, which I found very useful as this is the area I need to improve most on. The teachers were extremely competent and knowledgeable in the English language and to that end any question any student had was well answered and explained. The learning materials came in handy and there were weekly tests so as to properly gauge what we had learned. Classes were split according to the level of the students abilities in the English language which ensured that everyone was learning something new and according to their pace.

There were many activities during lectures such as board games, drawing and memorisation exercises which made learning fun and manageable.

The staff at ACET were very friendly and the school was organised in such a manner that you knew who to go to for any particular query you had. The school is also located in a central location where it is easy to get to.

The only obstacle was the cold Irish weather which not much can be done about :-)

I participated in the Gold Programme (50+) for two weeks. The course focused on developing practical communication skills in a relaxed and productive atmosphere. We were eight students from five distinct countries with the most German with various language skills/levels. Since I am already an advanced learner I cannot tell if my English skills improved that much. But as offered I developed my language skills and certainly became a more confident speaker. This course was the perfect choice for me to improve my language skills with people my age and interests.
All staff and our teacher Chris were friendly and always willing to help. The location of the academy is next to the center and easily accessible. The facilities were except the wifi availability good. The program included different activities after school and one excursion for the weekend.
My accomodation was at Victoria Lodge student appartments.

Teachers are very friendly, the location of school is good but the host family is little far. I feel improving si it's very good for me.

A nice experience. All my class mates where very young and I think that next time I will do a business English course in order to have other adults in the group. The teacher was American and I enjoyed her style of teaching. The accent was very understandable.

Our teacher Lorian O'donnal is a encouraging woman and so we had a interesting discussion. Se have empathy an kindness. Mainly the age of the students was very good for me. The activities was nice, the location central. The room unfortunately cold and dark. The class was three persons. One of them from Japan. That was very interesting and intensive. Thanks for all. Great classes, very professional teachers and updated facilities.
But I sent my writing composition to the teacher, the reply from the teacher took more than a week, and my second email she never replied to and I don't know why.
Since I attended for only one class, so I only got a little experience from that. Hope this can help you.

My experience in this academy has been positive. The academy is at the center and is connected. The classes are right for the students attending. There are classes that require equipment, and all correctly functioned for the class. The teachers are highly qualified and they answer any questions you may have. Every day, there are some activities after class - some are free while some are not, but the student ID gives us a discount. My host family is a very cozy and friendly family. With both the academy and the family, any questions are answered and solved without the slightest problem. What I like most is the method of study!

My experience in ACET has been very good. At school, there are many people from different countries, and it is a great opportunity to meet new cultures and learn. The teachers are very friendly and they are always willing to help and make your learning experience as fun as possible while you are in the academy. The location of the academy is good because it is next to the centre, and if you live far away you can come by bus or train as it is near ACET. The facilities are great. There are different classrooms, a library, study rooms, and a coffee shop. ACET offers different activities to do after school and excursions for the weekend. I live with a host family, and my host family is very friendly. They are very attentive to me. If I need something, the family is always ready to help me. It is an incredible experience that I recommend to everyone.
