The school's excellent location and its full immersion programme provide a great opportunity to study English. Our programme concept is “Immersion in English at all times.” Lessons are highly intensive. Each student has 32 lessons (45 minutes each) a week. Our Academic Programme: LEARNING & ACQUIRING In the morning (Learning) we teach English through EFL (English as a Foreign Language) lessons based on small groups of 7 students from the same age and same level (max. 10). And in the afternoon (Acquiring), we teach skills in English, again in small groups of 7 students (max 10) from the same age and same level. So two different approaches which combine very well and allow our students to LEARN English and ACQUIRE skills in English! LINES Queenswood has facilities that include a computer room with free internet access, study materials, a student lounge and amazing sport facilities.
Our St. Margaret's language school campus is located in a very secure area of London, which is highly regarded by both parents and students alike. The nearby district of London Hampstead has a very good reputation and St. Margaret's itself is one of the UK's leading boarding schools. When visiting the college, students will not only be learning the English language as part of the course, but they will also be experiencing it first hand within one of its places of origin, which will provide them with many cultural as well as social insights into the London way of life. St Albans School of Languages is located in a superb listed building. We are a small friendly school with continual enrolment so students can join at any time. The school building itself is ancient -- no one knows exactly how old in fact, but no later than a late 17th century -- and is located right in the town centre, on the oldest street, next to the original town hall. St Albans is a safe, friendly and typically English town. The people of St Albans love good food, and there are dozens of good restaurants and cafes within one minute's walk of the school.
There are also lots of friendly bars and clubs, and a programme of concerts and festivals throughout the year, so our students enjoy an exciting social life outside the school. St Albans is the perfect location from which to explore London and is only 25 minutes from the famous West End.
Nearby historical attractions include Gorhambury House, Hatfield House, Woburn Abbey and literary places of interest such as Milton's cottage and Shaw's Corner.
